Four schools from Moscow, Nanjing, Manila and Yangon took part in a week of music making.

During the week the children participated in cultural activities such as Malay cooking. On Tuesday 120 children rode the MRT to Central Market where the staff and students had the chance to experience part of Malaysia’s vast and exciting culture.

Wednesday evening was celebrated with a world class performance by one of Malaysia’s most well-known groups, the Aseana Percussion Unit, with the students, staff and members of the public thoroughly enjoying the high-energy and truly diverse combination of musical traditions from all over Malaysia.

Their enjoyment of the week clearly shone through with our own Scott Murphy, energizing the  jazz musicians; Chi Hoe Mak, inspiring the choir with a number of inventive, diverse and memorising pieces and Eugene Pook, combining the musical talents of the orchestra for a wonderful finale.
